Action delivery events

The Sub-Delivery of an Action can be triggered by a few different events, depending on the type of Action that occurs immediately before it. For example, you could send a new message one day after an email's Send, Open, or Bounce event.

Different types of actions automatically generate different events, which can be used to trigger your next action's delivery. Leanplum will automatically display the available trigger events in the Action Delivery dropdown that says "After previous action is ..."

Choosing Delayed or Immediate Sub-Delivery will also affect the delivery options for each action type. See below for a list of the Action Delivery events that are generated by each action.

Use this chart to see what Action Delivery events are available based on the previous action type.

For example, if my previous action is a push notification, I could trigger my current action based on a delay of 1 day after the Sent, Open, Send unless open, or Bounce event for that push notification.

Use this chart to see which parent actions allow for immediate Sub-delivery, and what delivery event options are available with those Parent actions.
